One to join the best in the horsey tradition. Jo and Lucy are horse mad and their loyalty to their riding school is unshakeable until the owner, bad-tempered Janey Squires, is found out in lies that not only make the girls most unhappy, but endanger their lives. The story, a web of mystery and intrigue, moves briskly and strongly enough to sustain the non-equestrian reader and delighted the two twelve-year-old 'horse-mads' I 'borrowed' to read it.
