Literate and clever fun when a Hermit befriends and tries to teach a Bear. Much verbal play comes from the fact that the creature takes all instructions literally. The pacing of the tale and the length of the cleverly-divided chapters make it just right for the eights to elevens who'll read this. As always with this imprint, a high standard of presentation, attention to spacing of text and pictures. They are by Blake and, naturally, tell their own stories.
