This rather simplified and worshipful biography of Dahl does not even include a list of his books! A reference to Boy or Going Solo might not have been a bad idea, even if this is KS 2 orientated. As an introduction to non-fiction or biography it will no doubt find a ready audience and have its uses. Yet it feels rather starry-eyed in tone and formulaic in style even down to the bountiful illustrations. Other titles in the series include Gandhi, Shakespeare and Captain Cook.
