War Stories

A book for staunch war devotees. Twelve stories are included. Odette is here. The Cockleshell Heroes, The Wooden Horse and the Battle of the River Plate, along with others all carefully recorded, mapped and noted. Surprisingly no photographs are included but presumably that would push up the price. From a personal point of view I never push war stories but the first eight words in the introduction of this book signified an integrity which I sensed throughout - 'No sensible person loves war. it is evil.' Certainly this is worth library and bookshop space for older readers seeking more than sensational information.
